NEWS/Martin Crawley Joins Bridge Technologies to Drive Company’s Successful Training Program

(Oslo, Norway - August 10, 2011)

Bridge Technologies today announced the appointment of Martin Crawley as head of the Bridge Academy — the company’s widely acclaimed training program for digital media monitoring professionals.

In his new role as Senior Product Specialist at Bridge Technologies, Crawley will focus on both strengthening and expanding the Bridge Academy’s program offerings.

Crawley joins Bridge Technologies from Ericsson Television (formerly Tandberg) and brings wide-ranging experience in training, production, and consultancy roles with OmniBus Systems, GlobeCast, Orbit Television, and ITN.

“Martin’s work in the industry includes intensive production roles in master control and news environments, as well as satellite communications, system design, and project management,” said Simen Frostad, chairman of Bridge Technologies.

“Most importantly, his professional experience spans both broadcast and IT environments. This wide knowledge base - coupled with his familiarity with digital media technologies and his training skills - make Martin an excellent choice to take our Bridge Academy to the next level.”

Developed in response to the demand from digital media operators, the Bridge Academy provides technical personnel with the multidisciplinary operational expertise necessary for a complete understanding of the entire digital TV delivery chain and the VideoBRIDGE advanced monitoring environment. Training courses are provided at Bridge Technologies’ Oslo headquarters using a complete on-site transmission chain created for training and testing, or by arrangement at the operator’s facility.

“I am very excited about the continued success and future growth of the Bridge Academy and its important goal of providing in-depth instruction in an area that is urgently needed in the digital media industry,” said Crawley. “Our aim is to give delegates a fuller and more involved experience on the courses we offer, ultimately leading to a clear and comprehensive understanding of both the broadcast and IP components of a digital media operation, together with informed strategies for monitoring and analysis in a hybrid environment.”
