Bridge Technologies Appoints Probe as Second Italian Distributor for VideoBRIDGE IPTV Monitoring Products

Naples-based Probe, systems integrator for the broadcast, IPTV, and satellite markets, has become the second distributor of Bridge Technologies’ VideoBRIDGE product range in Italy. Probe will supply VideoBRIDGE’s award-winning IP probes for IPTV monitoring to broadcasters, telcos, and network operators throughout the country, providing the most advanced end-to-end monitoring solution available in the industry.

“After researching other products on the market, we decided on the VideoBRIDGE line because of its impressive performance-to-cost ratio and openness, allowing our customers to provide first-class service for a minimal investment and ensuring a complete integration with their existing monitoring infrastructure,” said Luigi de Maio, CEO of Probe. “In particular, we were intrigued by the flexibility of the microVB™, which our engineers can easily customize to integrate seamlessly into a wide variety of applications.”

Part of the award-winning VideoBRIDGE series of probes, the microVB is a breakthrough in miniaturized remote monitoring and analysis for IPTV applications. With the microVB system, IPTV operators can for the first time gather complete and accurate data about the performance at the viewer’s set-top box, using a cost-effective user-installed monitoring device.

VideoBRIDGE probes are innovative platforms for the converging services employing stream-based IP packets. Compatible with all major stream-based standards such as MPEG-2, H.264/AVC, and DVB/ATSC - ETSI TR 101 290, the VideoBRIDGE series offers a complete end-to-end system for the continuous quality assurance of a network. With the innovative and patented MEDIAWINDOW™ , the VideoBRIDGE series is at the forefront of IPTV measurement and monitoring technologies.

“We are very pleased to be working with our partners at Probe,” said Philip Burnham, sales director, Bridge Technologies. “Probe will play a key role in addressing the specialized broadcast market in Italy. Probe perfectly complements our partnership with Neptuny who specializes in technology solutions tailored for the telecommunications industry. This is really a case of two heads being better than one by having two partners that are able to complement each other in providing clients with low-cost, high-performance monitoring solutions for both the broadcast and telco markets.”
