NEWS/Bridge Technologies Appoints Verso to Distribute VideoBRIDGE IPTV Monitoring Products in Croatia

(Oslo, NORWAY — July 1, 2009)

Bridge Technologies has announced the appointment of leading Croatian integrator, Verso as a distributor for the award-winning VideoBRIDGE range of IP Probes. VideoBRIDGE’s solution for IPTV provides the most advanced end-to-end monitoring solution available to broadcasters, telcos, and network operators seeking an efficient way of delivering the highest standards of service to subscribers.

“The Bridge Technologies solution will provide the perfect complement to our existing technologies and services,” said Verso’s Boris Obradov. “Subscribers initially attracted to IPTV services soon become disenchanted if the service quality failed to match what they were used to from other forms of broadcasting. With the outstanding solution developed by Bridge Technologies, providers at last have a way of drawing together monitoring and fault analysis information from every component in the chain: this makes it much easier and more cost-effective to provide top quality service to the subscriber.”

The award-winning VideoBRIDGE series of probes are innovative industrial platforms for the converging services employing stream-based IP packets. Compatible with all major stream-based industrial standards such as MPEG-2, H.264/AVC, and DVB/ATSC - ETSI TR 101 290, the VideoBRIDGE series offers a complete end-to-end system for the continuous quality assurance of a network. With full support of the RFC4445 standards proposal and the innovative patented Media Window™, the VideoBRIDGE series is at the forefront of IPTV measurement and monitoring technologies.

“Monitoring used to be viewed as too difficult to achieve efficiently across the complex array of technologies involved in the IPTV delivery chain, and too costly to implement,” said Philip Burnham, sales director, Bridge Technologies. “But operators now realize that to maintain and grow their subscriber base, a good monitoring system is essential, and with VideoBRIDGE, it’s also very cost-effective. We’re very pleased to be working with the excellent people at Verso, who provide the highest level of expertise to the Croatian market.”
