NEWS/BRIDGE TECHNOLOGIES announces integration of the VideoBRIDGE IP-PROBES into Skyline Communications DATAMINER management system

(Oslo, Norway - 11th April 2008)

At the NAB2008 show in Las Vegas, Nevada BRIDGETECH (Oslo, Norway) announces the full integration of the award winning VideoBRIDGE range of IP and Broadcast Probes into the highly popular DATAMINER management system from Skyline Communications (Izegem, Belgium). This integration will enable direct access to all measured data, statistics and all warnings/ alarms from the VideoBRIDGE IP-PROBES into the powerful reporting and correlation engine of DATAMINER. For Telcos and Broadcasters alike, this integration will enable them to further leverage their investments in DATAMINER and VideoBRIDGE IP-PROBES, and to unleash the power of service oriented monitoring and automated SLA compliance checking.

The VideoBRIDGE IP-PROBES ship with the latest version 3.5 software, harmonizing version numbers between the entire series of products and introducing a dramatic increase in UI features with the use of web 2.0 technologies such as AJAX. The web UI is completely compatible with standard web browsers and does not require any specially installed software or plug-in. Numerous new features are launched with this version including: new multicast detect and join tab; advanced IP protocol detect; optional ETSI TR 101 290 analysis and many more.

DATAMINER is the leading multi-vendor network management system for the IPTV, HFC broadband, satellite and broadcast industry. The platform enables operators to integrate their entire operations from content acquisition to content delivery, across all vendor and technology boundaries, resulting in tangible operational benefits. Aside from real-time remote access, and feeding the service and business intelligence logic in DATAMINER, the probes can also play a crucial role in intelligent redundancy switching, confidence monitoring applications for NOC/MCR operators, and the implementation of operational DATAMINER Work Flow Procedures.

"We are very excited by this integration, and it comes after direct customer wishes" states BRIDGE Technologies Chairman Simen K. Frostad. "DATAMINER is by far one of the most popular high-level management system deployed in advanced NGN networks in Europe and we believe this will expand both the VideoBRIDGE IP-PROBE and DATAMINER reach into even more markets."
