NEWS/BRIDGE Technologies and Business Partner NORDIJA chosen for huge FTTH deployment

(Amsterdam, The Nederlands - 7th September´2006)

Danish utilities company TRE-FOR has chosen the BRIDGE TECHNOLOGIES FSMTM - Full Service Monitoring architecture for its massive Metro Ethernet FTTH deployment. TRE-FOR Broadband is a public entity serving over 120,000 inhabitants in the South of Denmark. Working with its Danish partner NORDIJA, a leading IPTV Middleware provider and systems house, the 3.2 million DKR deal will see the deployment of BRIDGE Technologies’s innovative IPTV Monitoring probes throughout the TRE-FOR network.

FSMTM is a complete framework for monitoring all aspects of a service. With the introduction of monitoring of middle-ware, critical services like data-multicasts for SetTop box software loading, initial HTTP user interface services, DHCP and DNS services and other critical components can be monitored throughout the network, and changes in network configuration settings influencing these services will trigger notifications and alarms.
The first Middleware integrated in the IP-PROBES is NORDIJA’s FokusOnTM. Deployed in large telco systems throughout Europe, the NORDIJA software serves over 200.000 customers daily throughout Scandinavia. With the release of FSMTM, monitoring is extended to the middle-ware services needed to boot and to operate the SetTop boxes at the client premises. Because of this, cost of deployment is further reduced and use of the IP-PROBES for both monitoring and faultfinding is greatly enhanced.

“The emphasis for TRE-FOR is quality, which a pro-active 24/7 monitoring approach ensures through the deployment of our VideoBRIDGE IPTV monitoring tools. It is a pleasure working with such a professional team at TRE-FOR.“ states Philip Burnham, Director of Sales, BRIDGE Technologies
