NEWS/PodCast from IBC2006

(Oslo, Norway - 18th September´2006)

BRIDGE Technologies CEO, Rolf Ollmar highlighted the pitfalls and challenges facing the industry in the transmission of broadcast video over IP. His speech was part of the IBC2006 program entitled "IPTV - programme delivery that does not cost a packet" session. Rolf’s contribution explained the technical issues involved and outlined the solutions that can ensure content integrity despite the inherently hostile environment IP networks present.

His speech, aptly named "Testing IPTV delivery from the Headend to the home" underscored the fact that pro-active monitoring throughout the network chain is the only way to combat jitter, latency and consequential media loss.

If you were not lucky enough to be amongst the august company of experts at the session, never fear, as his speech is available as a Podcast and is available for viewing or download from the Bridgetech website : http://www.bridgetech.tv/podcasts.php
