Since its introduction at last year´s IBC2004 in Amsterdam, the VideoBridge IP-Probe series has expanded its functionality in several major areas. Unicast was added at the beginning of the year and at the NAB2005 in Las Vegas an interim upgrade provided an advanced Timeline View of all major historical RTP and TS errors. This feature is also included in the 1.3.1 release for the VideoBridge IP-Probe series.

The SNMP capability gives complete access to all probe measurement data for 3rd party NMS systems. A complete MIB is available for all registered customers and for all parties interested in incorporating VideoBridge support in their monitoring software. Advanced RTP capabilities mean that all major parameters of RTP packet errors can be closely monitored and detected by the IP-Probe, including duplicate packet detection and out-of-order packet counting.

The VideoBridge VB10 portable IP-Probe and the VB100 chassis are innovative industrial monitoring and measurement platforms for the converging services of stream-based IP-packets. With compatibility to all major stream-based industrial standards such as; MPEG2, h.264/AVC and WM9/VC-1, the VideoBridge series offers a complete end-to-end system for the quality assurance of a network. Together with the IP-Probes, the VBC Server controller software gives an IPTV service-provider or a Carrier complete verification of network performance and transmission quality in real-time.

The VB10 portable IP-Probe was also appreciated by the industry, and won Broadcast Engineering´s prestigious Pick-Hit award at the NAB 2005 show.
