Following the introduction of the VideoBridge IP-Probe series at the International Broadcast Convention in September 2004, BRIDGE Technologies has received an increasing stream of orders for its VB10 and VB100 Monitoring technology with first shipments going out to customers already in November.
Customer reaction has been most encouraging, with the VB10 and VB100 IP-Probes already having identified and helped to resolve Video Transport issues for those customers now in possession of the BRIDGE Technologies technology. For the first time operators of IPTV and Triple-Play networks have the means to correlate between the IP layer and the MPEG TS (transport Stream) layer to find and correct operational errors.
One of the unique features of the VideoBridge IP Probe is its ability to present in graphical form IP-packet inter-arrival timing thus enabling effective "status-at-a-glance". Rapidly identifying the location and nature of Video over IP transport problems ensures faster response and resolution and correspondingly increases customer satisfaction and subscriber PoQ (Perception of Quality).
BRIDGE Technologies CEO, Rolf Ollmar states: “We are extremely encouraged going into 2005 now that production is under way and from the feedback we are getting from our customers.” Mr. Ollmar further adds: “Most IP TV operators today are gearing up for full scale deployments. By applying the BRIDGE Technologies set of monitoring tools he can deploy rapidly without compromising service quality.”
